Big roll for Mr. Jackson……

Righteous Kill is an upcoming suspense film that will star Al Pacino, Robert De Niro, Donnie Wahlberg and Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson (who will play a Club owner). It will be directed by Jon Avnet.. The film is being written by Russell Gewirtz who previously scripted Inside Man and will be produced by Randall Emmett and Avi Lerner. The plot will revolve around police investigators hunting a vigilante killer, with the early twist being (from the first scene) that one of them is the killer in question. Righteous Kill will have a budget of $60 million and be an independent production put together by Nu Image’s Millennium Films and Emmett/Furla Films.  The film is set to begin shooting August 2007 in New York and Bridgeport, Norwalk, Stamford and New Haven, Connecticut. It was announced that Brian Dennehy will also appear in the film, as well as newly added cast members John Leguizamo, Dan Futterman, Trilby Glover and professional skateboarder Rob Dyrdek.

A new and first trailer was released. It shows that Robert de Niro and Al Pacino‘s characters are after a drug dealer and assasin 50 Cent. It also shows that de Niro and Pacino’s characters are very close to each other and also de Niro’s has a close relationship with a woman, Carla Gugino‘s character. It also shows two detectives (played by John Leguizamo and Donnie Wahlberg) are also working in the same case as the two main characters.
